DGS baseball and softball practices are both now open to students in grades 4-8. Practices will be at the park at the following times:
Baseball: Tuesday-Thursday 3:30-4:45
Softball: Tuesday-Friday 4:30-6:00
Students must have a current physical on file in the office.
If you know of anyone in grades 4-8 that might be interested in playing please spread the word!

Attention Jr. High Baseball and Softball Players:
"Open Field workouts" will begin next week for students in grades 6-8 interested in playing baseball or softball. These workouts are not mandatory, but it is a great time to get out, meet the coach and start working on skills. It also allows us to know how many kids are planning on playing this year. Workouts will be at the following times:
Baseball: Monday (7/26), Tuesday (7/27), and Wednesday (7/28) from 4-6pm.
Softball: Monday (7/26), Wednesday (7/28), and Thursday (7/29) from 3-4:30.
Make sure you have a current sports physical!

DeSoto Grade School registration reminder times are listed below:
Tuesday, July 13th: 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday, July 14th: 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Reminder, if your child is planning to participate in athletics this year, they must have a valid physical on file. Summer is a great time to get physicals done. Please do not wait until the start of the season as your child might miss out on practice or game time while waiting to get a physical.

Mark your calendars! Registration for the 2021-2022 school year will take place July 13 from 7-11am and July 14 from 2-6 pm in the cafeteria.


2020-2021 Yearbooks are available for pick-up in the office. We have a limited number of copies for sale for $14.00. First come first serve. We accept checks, or cash only in the office.

Mrs. Crews' 6th grade class created Middle Age Siege Weapons. They did great! Sophia was the winner based on accuracy and distance. Great job to all!
