Morning drop off procedures: When the bus has the stop arm extended and children are exiting the bus at the playground gate, please remember to stay behind the stop arm and wait until the bus has moved to release your children from the car. We have had multiple instances of children being dropped off and walking in front of the bus. Thank you for your cooperation. The safety of our children is always our top priority.

DGS Transportation Update: There WILL be bus service this afternoon, November 6. Our transportation department is currently fully staffed and bus services will return to normal. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Reminder: The Veterans Day Breakfast will be Friday, November 8 from 7:30am-8:00am. Veterans, feel free to wear your uniform or part of your uniform for breakfast with your DGS student!

Now that Halloween is over....it's time to start thinking about Christmas! This year, you can purchase your own DGS "ugly sweater". Order forms will come home with students today. Please return order form and money to the office NO LATER than November 19th. No late orders will be accepted.

Don't forget, we will have a costume parade on Thursday, 10/31. If the weather does not cooperate, the parade will be in the gymnasium. Parents are welcome to attend. Please see attached information regarding costume requirements.

DGS Pickup and Drop off Procedure Changes:
October 15-October 16, students will need to be picked up and dropped off at Door F (gym foyer entrance), due to the sidewalk construction. Please be on the lookout for any other updates this week.

2nd grade read the book Amelia Bedelia's First Apple Pie, then Mrs. Langan went home and made the recipe in the back of the book. Turns out it's a hit for most of the 2nd graders. Especially when you add ice cream!
Picture day has been rescheduled for October 29. We will send out more information closer to time.

Good luck to our softball team as they begin regional play today. They will play St. Andrew at 4:30. Good Luck Lady Rangers!
2nd Grade taste tested apples and graphed which was their favorite. What a great way to start the fall season!
