The free summer lunch program is going on now! It is available Monday-Friday, from 11-12:30pm. Adults 18 and over are $2.00, while children under 18 are free. Please enter through the cafeteria door.
Please come up and support our summer lunch program. We have to have enough participants to be able to provide this service in the future.

Thank you for the amazing Staff Appreciation Week! We have been spoiled all week long. From lunches and snacks to t-shirts and gifts. A special thanks goes out to Mr. Corzine, Mrs. Taylor, the DGS PTO, and parents and students for making us feel so special. We do what we do because we love the kids and love to see them grow and excel. We definitely felt the love and appreciation this week.

Due to the potential for severe weather tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday May 8, DeSoto Grade School will dismiss at 12:30. Lunches will be served and the bus route will run at 12:30. If any weather has the potential to alter the dismissal time we will notify as soon as possible. All after school programs have been canceled.
Ranger Station is closed for Wednesday, May 8, due to the concern of extreme weather expected tomorrow evening.

Students in grades K-5 have been using code.org to learn about computer science and basic coding skills. Today first grade had to use directional blocks to get "Scrat" to it's acorn. They all have been doing a great job!
Last Friday, 2nd Grade released their Painted Lady butterflies in the DGS Butterfly Garden today.
