As you know, winter weather is forecasted for tomorrow morning. At this point the forecast has changed frequently. That said, I don't anticipate making a final decision until tomorrow morning. IF there is a need to cancel school tomorrow, I will put out a communication before 6:00 a.m.

Good luck to our boys basketball team as they begin the regional tournament tonight!

Athletics update:
Due to the threat of inclement weather, the start time of tomorrow's (1/24) boys basketball regional game at Giant City has been moved to 5:00 pm. The bus time will now be 4:00.

Just a few reminders for those attending cheer camp on Monday.

Mark your calendars! We will honor our 8th grade boys basketball players on Thursday, January 12.

The Jackson Co. Sheriff's Dept. has alerted us that the threat has ended. DGS will resume normal practices.

We are aware of the incident that happened in Carterville this morning. At this time, all students will remain inside the building and continue with normal activities. No outside visitors are allowed in the building at this time. We will continue to work with our school resource officer and Jackson Co Sheriff's Dept. to monitor the reported incident.

Both the girls and boys basketball teams are back in action tonight! The boys will travel to OLMC while the girls will play Elverado at home. Both games will have a 5:30 JV tip off. We will also honor our 8th grade girls tonight, immediately following the JV game.
Good luck to both teams!

Happy Holidays from all of us at DGS!

We have extended the deadline to turn the form in to tomorrow, Tuesday, 12/20. Paper forms need to be turned in to teachers or the office. There are extra paper forms in the office and now a link to a google form if you did not receive a paper copy. Google form expires tomorrow at 1 pm. At this time, we have not received any forms so if you are planning on attending, you MUST fill out a form so there is no issue with the amount of wrapping paper. Thanks!
