Melody Sarensen will be out for the foreseeable future. At this time, Ms. Dorris is driving Melody's daily routes. Mrs. Taylor and I are actively seeking candidates for a part-time bus driver. If you know anyone who might be interested please ask them to contact the office.

Athletics update:
The softball game scheduled for Monday 8/22 at Unity Christian as been cancelled. The baseball game will still be played as scheduled.
Third grade completing a force and motion hands on activity. What fun!
Today's baseball and softball games will be played at OLMC. Game time is 4:30. Baseball is at diamond 1 and softball is at diamond 3 at the Herrin Jr. ball fields.

Baseball announcement:
There will be a meeting for anyone in grades 5-8 interested in playing baseball (kid and/or parent). The meeting will be tomorrow (8/3) at 4:30 at the field.
The DeSoto Grade School app has been updated. Make sure you download it and check it out for another way to stay updated on everything DGS!
A reminder, tonight's board meeting will take place in the grade school gymnasium. The agenda for: July 25, 2022 was posted.
2022-2023 registration will take place Tuesday, July 12 from 7am-11am and Wednesday, July 13 from 2pm-6pm. Registration will take place in the gymnasium and you will need to enter from the playground. All students, new and returning, need to register for the upcoming school year. Please see attachement for more information.

Summer 2022 Updates

Big things happening at DGS! We are getting new flooring in parts of the school. Due to construction, we will be moving Summer Enrichment to DeSoto First Baptist. Summer lunch will be served grab & go style outside of the kitchen door. Summer library is still to be determined. More details to follow. Thanks for your cooperation and flexibility!
